When I started training with Ange I was hoping she would help me maintain a level of fitness that would improve my strength and mobility as I get older. I was struggling with my fitness in general and finding time to exercise.
Because of the consistent coaching from Ange, I find that I can do things (read: LIFT THINGS!), that I would have said “you are dreaming” to, if I’d been told I would be doing now. I notice that I am fitter than many of my contemporaries, more flexible and have maintained a great range of movement even through aging.
Ange’s commitment to further professional education has given her a huge range of exercises to continue to extend our sessions and they don’t get repetitive or boring. This means I’m more likely to be motivated to attend my sessions consistently and work to the best of my capabilities. Ange absolutely believes in my ability to complete any task she sets for me in the studio and this helps me have the confidence to continually achieve new things.
Training with Ange gives me just what I need and I enjoy being able to leave her studio feeling motivated and energetic for the rest of my day.
I love working with Ange. Her advice on nutrition is totally achievable. There are no restrictive diet ideas, which make you feel guilty when you have a treat. It is rather an education/an empowerment to support you in naturally making healthy choices for yourself. After experiencing success with Ange, I wouldn’t bother with anything else!
When I first started coaching with Ange I was hoping to learn some new ways to manage and enhance my nutrition and movement. What I’d done in the past to maintain my weight just wasn’t cutting it anymore.
Ange breaks down barriers and presents you with real-life achievable tasks to meet your goals. Ange has the ability to dig deeper and get you to examine the actual reason behind why something is or isn’t working for you. She pushes you out of your comfort zone but in a friendly way. She truly listens to what you have to say and tailors your weekly goals accordingly.
I’ve noticed my understanding of what a portion of protein, carbs, vegetables, and fats is and being able to calculate that in real-life situations (without using scales or counting calories). My observation and understanding of what movement minimums can and should really be and how best I can weave these minimums into my everyday life. Even when life throws you curveballs which it’s bound to do on a semi-regular basis!
I’ve also noticed I have more energy (and possibly happiness?) as my goals are achievable each day, success begets success! The bonus is that my clothes are starting to not be so tight and I have been able to reintroduce some older clothes that haven’t fitted me for a while.
Did I get what I was hoping for? Absolutely! And some. Ange is a wealth of knowledge and has a genuine knack for asking the tough questions but in a kind and gentle way.
